You couldn’t really know what all he may have done that has contributed to how she treats him (if he’s not being treated well). He likely has shown his family much neglect and is not being accountable to the consequences that has created. Regardless, if he is to divorce his wife it ought to be between him and her without outside forces that would encourage it to happen — outside forces that provide a safety net to fall into.
